  • The Scottish Gallery

Exhibition at the Scottish Gallery showcasing  New Paintings from the Studio explores a number of themes including; architecture, still life and landscape.

Exhibition starts on the 7th March and goes on for a full month

  • Thackeray Gallery Exhibition, June

This latest group of paintings reflects the ordinary landscape of Scotland. There are no herioc mountains or Lochs; the views are about what I see most days, and know very well.

The meadows and fields are to be found in Fife (where I used to live), but also in the Scottish Borders where we moved to last year. The flowers and field edges are from a walled garden and farm, in Fife. A very favourite location.

  • Open Eye Gallery May 2016

This intimate show at Open Eye is unashamedly about seed heads, flora and field. This selection of works includes personal locations which have inspired my practice in recent times.

Most of the subject matter comes from Fife, but also within the selection are landscapes from Tuscany and Northumbria.

  • Brian Sinfield Show 2015

My summer exhibition will be at the Brian Sinfield gallery between the 5th and the 18th of July. You can find directions to the gallery from their web site.

  • The Italian Job

These paintings are taken from the commission in Italy which covered Assisi, Bologna and Florence. The framed painting is the final painting for the commission in Italy, and depicts the Duomo, Florence and aspects of the building and the Baptistry.

  • Italian Commission 2013-2014

Last year (2013) saw me painting in Tuscany rather a lot. I was asked by clients to paint the landscape and architecture around the Montalcino area, but also to extend my forays into Assisi, Bologna and Florence. It has been the most interesting of commissions for me, as commissioned work rarely takes me beyond London!
